Health Monitoring
Small sensors connected to cellular miniature low-power processors may prove to be a disruptive innovation that can change the way medicine is done. With patient adaptive continuous monitoring, early detection and intervention of critical medical conditions can be obtained, as well as better disease management via controlled release of medications can lead to optimized does, minimal side effects, and maximal effectiveness.
We are developing medical algorithms to take advantage of current sensors and redefine medical monitoring. In particular, we are concentrating on hemodynamics as well as brain activity monitoring.
Our experience in time series analysis enables us to apply advanced signal processing, machine learning and robust statistics to detect minute changes in the cardio/pulmonary activity as well as in hemodynamics parameters and alert caregivers before critical damage occurs.
